Blue Sabine Reviewed in The Port Arthur News
Brandon Janes recently reviewed Gerald Duff's newest novel, Blue Sabine, for The Port Arthur News. Of the novel, Janes says "This book is a bottomless pit of contextual aphorisms and southern insights, and it might even remind some men and women of Southeast Texas of the stories told to them by their grandfathers and grandmothers." Gerald Duff Selects Winner of 2011 Clapboard House Short Story Contest
Clapboard House, a literary journal that actively encourages submission of and publishes short stories and poetry, recently announced the winner of their 2011 Best of the House Short Story Contest, which was judged by Gerald Duff. Duff selected "The Bet" by Steven D. Stark, about which he said "The author of The Bet has created a story that in a small compass manages to work on multiple levels with character, situation, theme, statement, present moment and interaction of that with the living past."
